Once again our Convention was a great success and it being being our 30th Anniversary our speakers were from the top drawer. Speakers from Germany, Thailand, U.S.A. and the U. K. taking part. The lineup consisted of All Catfish Species Inventory coordinator Mark Henry Sabaj Pérez, German Author, Hans-Georg Evers, U.K. Livebearer specialist Dave McAllister, Kamphol Udomritthiruj, fish collector and photographer from Thailand, after dinner speaker Ray ‘Kingfish’ Lucas from the U.S. and our own Treasurer and Vice Chairman Danny Blundell. They all went away with trophy keepsakes carved impeccably by our Show Secretory Brian Walsh. These fish carvings are by now famous the world over. Other fishkeeping organisations were represented including the Anabantid Association of Great Britain, the British Livebearer Association, British Cichlid association, Cichlid Press with also Aquarian and livefood stands. The weekend was drawn to a conclusion at about 5.30 on the Sunday night by our Chairman, Ian Fuller, whose hard work alongside the committee and helpers has not gone unnoticed and again they rose to the occasion to make it another successful Convention.
